12/4/2006  LIBYA UPDATE:  The BIS has significantly reduced export controls over Libya.  The most significant impact to Owen Oil Tools is that an export license is no longer required for exports of non-EBW explosives (perforators, detcord, detonators, cutters, etc.).  See the Export Controls page for details.

7/20/06  HAZLIST:  On April 30, 2003, Owen Oil Tools purchased the assets of GOEX International, Inc.  At that time, many of the former GOEX products were realigned under various family approvals held by Owen Oil Tools, and subsequent shipments have been made using the Owen-held approvals.  However, certain items did not fit within any Owen-held approval, and a petition to reassign select GOEX-held approvals to Owen Oil Tools was submitted to US DOT.  That project has now been completed, with the re-issuance of 44 approvals, formerly held by GOEX International, to Owen Oil Tools, LP.  These 44 approvals cover some 80 products  listed in the summary file (XLS format) available here.  These 80 items may also be located on HAZLIST On-line, and the re-issued EX-letters downloaded, by selecting items with a "Record Date" of 7/20/2006 (or by clicking here).  Additionally, a single PDF file (1660 kb) containing all 44 re-issued approval letters is available by clicking here.

7/11/06  18 encapsulated perforators have been re-designated from UN0441/1.4S to UN0440/1.4D.  Read the HAZLIST Update notice for more information.

1/09/06  All UK-issued CE Certificates to GOEX International (and successor, Owen Oil Tools) have been cancelled.  Items covered by these certificates will be submitted to INERIS (France) for addition to the appropriate Owen CE certificates.

CE Certificate Updates:

	The CE Certificate for Type F (universal bottom fire) (0080.EXP.01.021) has been revised to update n.e.w. data for DET-3050-006.
	The CE Certificate for TAG (0080.EXP.01.032) has been updated to add SDP-4500-400NT3 and to update n.e.w. data for SDP-3375-411NT3.
